The focus of the global goal “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions” is people’s overall security. Mainly attention is paid to regions of military conflict, but the goal is to increase security everywhere. The 2030 Agenda targets emphasise the need to reduce violence and the number of related deaths, especially among children. Child abuse and exploitation, trafficking in children, violence against and torture of children must be ended. The activities of countries must be based on the rule of law. Corruption is to be reduced, while other 2030 targets include reducing illegal financial and arms

According to Statistics Estonia, one of the most important population development indicators — life expectancy — has shown an increasing trend in Estonia in case of women as well as men during the last decade. Due to a higher life expectancy, women outnumber men at the age of 65+ by two times.

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2014 the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and in foreign countries amounted to 2.1 billion euros, which is 3% less than in 2013. If only the Estonian construction market is considered, the construction volumes decreased 2%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2013, exports of goods decreased by 10% and imports by 1% at current prices compared to July of the previous year. Exports have declined for two successive months, falling to the level of July 2011.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2012, 2.8 million domestic and foreign tourists stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments, which is 4% more than the year earlier. Compared to 2011, the number of foreign tourists increased by 4% and the number of domestic tourists by 5%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in July, 346,000 tourists stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments. Their total number of nights spent was 652,000. Compared to July 2019, the number of tourists dropped by a third, but the number was higher than in the last few months.

According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2013 compared to September of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 5% at constant prices. The retail sales have shown a stable five-percent growth for the third month in succession compared to the same month of the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2011 compared to April of the previous year the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 5% at constant prices. This year the retail sales grew for the third months in succession.
