Estonian people love culture. The tradition of song and dance celebration has been a part of the Estonian identity for one and a half centuries, and it has helped people feel connected even in difficult times. According to Statistics Estonia, an estimated 80% of the population aged 20–64 participated in adult education in the previous year*. Participation in adult education is higher among women, younger age groups, people with higher educational attainment, and native speakers of Estonian. Self-development has become considerably more popular among 50–64-year-olds. At the same time, the results indicate that two out of five adults would have liked to study more.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2020, the average monthly gross income per employee was 1,380 euros, which is 63 euros more than in 2019. Income was highest in Harju county (1,541 euros) and lowest in Ida-Viru county (1,088 euros).

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2012 the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and in foreign countries amounted to 2.1 billion euros, which is 19% more than a year earlier. Construction volumes increased for the second year in a row.

According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the construction price index in the 1st quarter of 2018 was 0.2% compared to the 4th quarter of 2017, and 1.8% compared to the 1st quarter of 2017.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2016 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries increased 3%. If only the Estonian construction market is taken into account, the construction volumes increased 5%.

According to Statistics Estonia*, 93.2% of households in Estonia have an internet connection at home. The number of households with an internet connection has increased by 13,000 compared with the previous year, when there were 533,300 such households. There are also more users of e-commerce.
