What kind of survey is it? The internet use and digital skills survey assesses how and for what purpose people in Estonia use computers and the internet. Who commissions the survey? The internet use and digital skills survey is conducted using the questionnaire and harmonised methodology developed by Eurostat, which ensures comparability of the results for different European Union (EU) countries. According to Statistics Estonia, 79% of the meat consumed in Estonia in 2020 was locally produced. This is the highest percentage in the last five years. In the case of beef, the situation is favourable, but not so in the case of poultry meat.

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2016 the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and in foreign countries amounted to 2.1 billion euros, which was 3% more than in 2015. The construction volumes increased after two years of decline.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2021, the total production value of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and abroad decreased by 7% year on year. Considering only the Estonian construction market, the decrease in construction volume was 6%.
The number of job vacancies fell by a quarter in a year

According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2020, there were 8,613 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. Compared to the first quarter of 2019, the number decreased by 25%.

The employment rate shows the share of employed persons in the working-age population. The data are collected with the Labour Force Survey. An employed person is someone who worked during the reference period and was paid as a wage earner, entrepreneur or freelancer. An employed person is also someone who worked without direct payment in a family enterprise or own farm, or was temporarily absent from work.
