According to Statistics Estonia, there were 8,600 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 3rd quarter of 2014. The number of job vacancies increased by 0.3% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2013 and by 12.7% compared to the previous quarter.

The main goal of the changes is to improve data quality. Statistics Estonia will publish the data of the 1st quarter of 2021, calculated according to the new methodology, in its database on 17 May.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2019, the labour force participation rate was 70.8%, the employment rate 67.5% and the unemployment rate 4.7%. The labour force participation rate and the employment rate remained at a similar level compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The unemployment rate, however, decreased by 2.1 percentage points.

According to Statistics Estonia, there were 7,600 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 2nd quarter of 2013. Compared to the same period of the previous year, their number decreased by 6.9%, but increased by 9.1% compared to the previous quarter.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2010, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 792 euros (12,397 kroons) and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 4.78 euros (74.84 kroons). Compared to 2009, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 1.1% higher and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 0.4% lower.

The publication of short-term labour market statistics was based on a commissioning contract and the contract expired in 2024. According to Statistics Estonia, there were 7,300 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 1st quarter of 2015. The number of job vacancies increased by 0.6% compared to the previous quarter and by 1.3% compared to the 1st quarter of 2014.
