According to Statistics Estonia, the economic activity of Estonia is concentrated in Harju, Tartu and Ida-Viru counties, which create nearly three quarters of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia.
According to the flash estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased 2.2% in the 2nd quarter of 2014 compared to the same quarter of 2013.
According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2012 the total profit of the business sector was 2.9 billion euros, which was 7% more than a year earlier. The increase of enterprise sector’s net sales, productivity and total profit continued for the third year in a row.

This is the highest number of job vacancies in the past 8 years. According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2021, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,538 euros, which is 7.3% higher than the year before. Gross wages and salaries were the highest in Harju and Tartu counties, and in information and communication, financial and insurance activities and the energy sector.
According to Statistics Estonia, there were 8,500 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 2nd quarter of 2015. The number of job vacancies increased by 16.5% compared to the previous quarter and by 11.0% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2014.

The gender pay gap decreased by 1.3 percentage points compared to the previous year. The gender pay gap decreased by 1.3 percentage points for the third year in a row.
According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 8.5% in the 3rd quarter of 2011 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. During the three quarters this year economic the growth has been stably robust.
