According to Statistics Estonia, in 2020, the average monthly gross income per employee was 1,380 euros, which is 63 euros more than in 2019. Income was highest in Harju county (1,541 euros) and lowest in Ida-Viru county (1,088 euros).

According to Statistics Estonia, in the last quarter of 2020, there were 8,707 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. The number decreased by 16% year on year. More than 7,000 persons left their jobs on the employer’s initiative.

According to Statistics Estonia's survey on information technology, the use of artificial intelligence-based technologies has risen significantly in 2024 compared with the previous year, and cyber security has become increasingly important. 5% of enterprises used at least one AI technology in 2023, whereas in 2024, this figure has risen to 14%. Of large enterprises, 10% said they had experienced a disclosure of confidential data.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2017, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,201 euros, having increased 7.4% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2016. The year-over-year growth in wages and salaries accelerated for the second consecutive quarter.

The construction price index expresses the change in construction expenditures taking into consideration the price changes of three basic inputs: labour force, building machines, and building materials. “Last year, the average number of museum visits per person in Estonia was 1.9. The highest museum attendance was seen in Saare and Lääne counties, where there were respectively 4.1 and 3.9 museum visits per person. In Tallinn, the city with the most museums, the average number of visits per person stood at 2.9. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2016, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,119 euros. Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2015, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased 7.1%. The year-over-year growth in average monthly gross wages and salaries was slightly slower than in the previous quarter.
