According to preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2010 the total profit of business sector was 2.0 billion euros (30.9 billion kroons), being about two times bigger than in the previous year. At the same time the total profit decreased more than a fifth compared to 2008 and about 40% compared to the record high 2007.
Consumer price index increased in September

According to Statistics Estonia, the consumer price index increased 4.0% in September 2010 compared to September of the previous year and 0.8% compared to August this year.

The total area of utilised agricultural land did not change considerably in 2017. Production of field crops was higher than in the previous year, but a lot of production was not harvested. The number of pigs increased and the number of cattle also increased slightly. Less meat but more milk and eggs were produced than in the previous year.
The economic crisis did not cut down the innovativeness of enterprises

According to Statistics Estonia, the data of the Innovation Survey show that 56.8% of enterprises were innovative in 2010. The innovativeness of enterprises remained on the level of 2008, when the innovative enterprises accounted for 56.4%.
One of five part-time employees wishes to work more hours

According to Statistics Estonia, one out of five part-time employees would like to work more hours and is ready to do that if there is such an opportunity. In 2011, there were more than 12,000 such underemployed part-time workers.
