The international conference “Official Statistics in a Changing World” is taking place today in the Estonian National Opera House. With the conference, the producers of official statistics in Estonia, Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, and candidate for the status, the National Institute for Health Development, are celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Estonian Statistical System.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2015 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries decreased 3%.

According to Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, in the second quarter of 2023, Estonia’s exports of services grew by 8% and imports by 2% at current prices compared with the same quarter of 2022. According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2010 exports of goods grew by 37% and imports 18% compared to April of the previous year. Exports increased in the dispatches of all commodity sections, especially fuels.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2017, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,153 euros and the average hourly gross wages and salaries 7.13 euros. Compared to the 1st quarter of 2016, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased 5.7% and the average hourly gross wages and salaries 3.9%. The year-over-year growth in average monthly gross wages and salaries was 1.2 percentage points slower than in the previous quarter and the year-over-year growth decelerated for the fourth successive quarter.
