According to Statistics Estonia, in 2021, the average monthly parental benefit was 1,205 euros for women and 1,463 euros for men. Last year, a total of 38,882 persons received parental benefit and a third of them were men.

Evelin Puura, the Foreign Trade Statistics Service Manager at Statistics Estonia, said that intra-EU trade increased in January, with exports up by 11% and imports by 2% year on year. “On the other hand, in trade with non-EU countries, exports of goods fell by 16% and imports by 20%. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2018 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries increased by 20%. Taking into account only Estonian construction market, construction volume increased by 22%.

According to Statistics Estonia, the pilot Census of the 2011 Population and Housing Census (REL 2011) will take place in nine local governments of Estonia from 31 December until 31 March. The organisation, methodology and information system of the Census will be tested. For the first time the opportunity for electronic enumeration on the Internet is provided.

The list of economic units is a helpful tool primarily for those respondents who are required to report in statistical questionnaires financial transactions or financial assets and liabilities broken down by customer or type of transaction, e.g. loans granted and deposits taken by credit institutions or lease claims of customers of leasing companies. The list of economic units is published once a year (in December) and includes economic units that have been economically active in at least one of the last three years. An exception is all financial sector units, which are included in the list

According to Statistics Estonia, by preliminary data, five births less than deaths were registered in Estonia in 2010. By preliminary estimation, the population of Estonia was 1,340,100 on 1 January 2010.
