According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in August 2020 was 0.6% compared to July 2020 and -0.9% compared to August 2019. Compared to last year’s August, goods were 0.3% and services 2.0% cheaper.

The first population and housing census in re-independent Estonia was carried out from 31 March to 9 April in 2000. The Census was prepared and conducted according to the recommendations of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and the Statistical Office of the European Communities (Eurostat), which guarantee that the census data are internationally comparable. According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in October 2020 was -0.5% compared to September 2020 and -1.5% compared to October 2019. Year on year, goods were 0.9% and services 2.4% cheaper.
Enterprises can now compare themselves in eSTAT

Statistics Estonia’s data submission environment eSTAT now allows respondent enterprises to compare their wages, profit and turnover with indicators of the same economic activity and Estonian averages. eSTAT displays personalised statistics currently to nearly 20,000 enterprises.

Statistics Estonia revised the national accounts time series from 2000 onwards. Ensuing from all the corrections, the annual gross domestic product (GDP) at current prices changed, on average, by 1% in 2000–2013.
