The Farm Structure Survey (FSS) is conducted in Estonia from the beginning of September until 15 November. The results of the FSS, which is carried out in all European Union countries, serve as input for the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2013 the total profit of the business sector was 647 million euros, which was 3% more than in the same period a year earlier. The latter was influenced by a large-scale transaction in the defence sector,” noted Leppmets. According to Statistics Estonia, the opinions of immigrants with knowledge of the Estonian language differed significantly from the opinions of immigrants without knowledge of the Estonian language with respect to belonging to the Estonian society and considering Estonia as their home country.

30% of the enterprises whose submission deadline for the comprehensive annual questionnaire for enterprises (EKOMAR) was Friday, 1 July submitted the questionnaire by the deadline. At Wednesday’s meeting with enterprises submitting EKOMAR questionnaires, Statistics Estonia explains the importance of the collected data to enterprises and hopes to improve data collection in cooperation with them.
