According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2024, the total production value of construction enterprises in Estonia and abroad decreased by 13% compared with the same quarter a year earlier. On the domestic construction market, volume fell by 14%.
According to Statistics Estonia, in May, the consumer price index increased by 0.1% compared with April and by 2.9% compared with May 2023. Goods were 2.6% and services 3.3% more expensive than in May last year.
Today, a team from Statistics Estonia met with the census committee of the Estonian Government to present the questionnaire of the Population and Housing Census 2021 and discuss the current state of the project. The exact census methodology will be decided once the allocation of additional funds from the government reserves for 2021 and from the 2022 state budget has been confirmed.
According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 8.5% in the 3rd quarter of 2011 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. During the three quarters this year economic the growth has been stably robust.
According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in August 2018 was 0.5% compared to July 2018 and 3.6% compared to August of the previous year.
According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2022, the consumer price index increased by 2.7% compared to February 2022 and by 15.2% compared to March 2021. Goods were 13.7% and services 18.1% more expensive than in March last year.
In 2021, Estonian residents made 575,000 outbound overnight trips, which is 3% more than the year before. The number of overnight domestic trips was nearly 2.3 million – this is 6% more than in 2020. Last year, the expenditures on outbound trips amounted to over 495 million euros and the expenditures on domestic trips to more than 402 million euros.
