Turnover of retail trade enterprises increased also in September

According to Statistics Estonia, in September, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 618 million euros – an increase of 4% at constant prices compared to September of the previous year.

Statistics Estonia wishes to make the transmission and reporting of data more automatic in order to decrease the data submission burden of enterprises. According to Statistics Estonia, in July, 346,000 tourists stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments. Their total number of nights spent was 652,000. Compared to July 2019, the number of tourists dropped by a third, but the number was higher than in the last few months.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the third quarter of 2022, there were 13,190 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. This is 15% more than in the same quarter of 2021. Over 5,000 people left their jobs at the initiative of the employer.
