According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2018, the production of industrial enterprises increased by 3% compared to June 2017. Production increased in manufacturing, energy as well as in mining.
On 4–5 June, the Eurostat committee assessing the correspondence of the methodology of Member States’ financial statistics to the international standards was visiting Statistics Estonia.

The government approved the development plan of Statistics Estonia for 2018–2022 at its cabinet meeting today. The greatest change in the new strategy period is transforming Statistics Estonia into a national data agency – an office that offers data from different sources, support when using data as well as classic official statistics.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2018 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries increased 21%. Taking into account only Estonian construction market, construction volume increased 29%.
According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2017, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and in foreign countries amounted to 2.5 billion euros, which was 18% more than in 2016. Taking into account only Estonian construction market, construction volume increased 23%. Construction volume increased for the second consecutive year.
