Although the population has grown for the last seven years, the latest projection predicts a decrease in Estonia’s population by 2085.

According to Statistics Estonia, the volume of freight transport through ports fell by 31% in 2023. There were more domestic tourists and fewer foreign tourists, but the total number of accommodated guests was significantly lower than in 2019 before the coronavirus crisis.
