Thanks to the population census being register-based, Statistics Estonia will be able to start publishing data much earlier than in previous censuses. All data will be published by the end of the year!
According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2018, compared to June of the previous year, the turnover of retail trade enterprises decreased 1% at constant prices.
Statistics Estonia’s survey “Information technology in enterprises” shows that the use of artificial intelligence (AI) by Estonian enterprises is steadily increasing. The use of data analytics is also growing.
According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2021, Estonia’s rapid trade growth continued. Exports of goods increased by 30% and imports by 36% year on year. Growth was highest in trade with the European Union Member States and primarily with the neighbouring countries.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2019, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries increased by 3% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2018. Similarly to the 1st quarter, construction volume increased due to work done in foreign countries, whereas construction volume on the domestic market decreased.
According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2022, Estonia’s exports of goods increased by 11% and imports by 15% at current prices compared with October 2021.
According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2020, the production of industrial enterprises decreased by 5% compared to August 2019. Production decreased in manufacturing but increased in energy and mining.
On 7 October, Statistics Estonia will launch a pilot Labour Force Survey, which will be conducted in parallel to the regular Labour Force Survey. The aim of the pilot survey is to test the renewed questionnaire and methodology, which will be implemented in 2021. This is the first time that the respondents can use an online questionnaire and the sample of the survey will include persons aged 75‒89.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 4th quarter of 2019, there were 10,376 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia.
According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2018, the producer price index of industrial output changed by –0.9% compared to October and by 1.6% compared to November 2017.
