According to Statistics Estonia, 13,000 tourists stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments in April. Their total number of nights spent was 43,000. The number of tourists decreased by 95% year on year.

Statistics Estonia analysed the economic contribution of working international students and international graduates. The analysis, commissioned by the Education and Youth Board, shows that, in the academic year 2021/22, international degree students contributed 14 million euros and international graduates over 8 million euros in taxes. In recent years, there has been a considerable rise in the number of international graduates who stay to work in Estonia after graduation. The majority of these graduates work in Tallinn.

According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in April 2019 was 1.3% compared to March 2019 and 3.2% compared to April of the previous year.

The preliminary results of the mobility analyses prepared for the crisis commission show that the emergency situation has resulted in decreased mobility of people. For the mobility analysis, Statistics Estonia uses aggregate tables on the movement of mobile phone numbers prepared by Elisa, Tele2 and Telia. Real-time data of the clients of mobile operators were not used. It is not possible to analyse the movement patterns of individuals on the basis of the anonymous data. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2016, the Dwelling Price Index changed by 3.4% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2016 and by 7.4% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2015.

International students and graduates were most likely to work in information and communication as well as in education. Compared to local students, they worked more often in start-up enterprises.

According to Statistics Estonia, in December 2016, compared to December 2015, the turnover of retail trade enterprises increased 3% at constant prices.

On 6 January, Svetlana Raudonen, a top-level expert with international experience, will start working as the project manager for the Population and Housing Census at Statistics Estonia.
