According to Statistics Estonia, in 2015, Estonian museums were visited 3.3 million times, which is 4% less than a year before. The number of museums remained unchanged compared to 2014.
On Monday, 7 November, the Estonian Debating Society and Statistics Estonia will launch a series of debates, called “Estonia’s Most Important Debate”, focussing on population issues. During the week, researchers and politicians will debate with young people in six different locations in Estonia.
According to Statistics Estonia, 14,822 persons immigrated to and 13,792 persons emigrated from Estonia in 2016. Immigration exceeded emigration for the second year. Most of the migrants were Estonian citizens, but their net migration was negative.

Today, on 31 March, Statistics Estonia holds a meeting with the representatives of chief and authorised processors of registers and databases. The participants will discuss how well the registers are prepared for the register-based population and housing census in 2020/2021.
According to Statistics Estonia, the consumer price index increased 4.0% in September 2010 compared to September of the previous year and 0.8% compared to August this year.
Statistics Estonia gave Eesti Energia AS the title of Best Respondent, the Ministry of the Interior the title of Statistics-Friendly Database Partner and Tõnu Kollo from the University of Tartu the title of Statistics-Friendly Research Partner of 2016.
