According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2018, compared to November 2017, the turnover of retail trade enterprises increased 5% at constant prices. While in October the turnover increased 3% compared to the same month of the previous year, in November the growth accelerated.

The preliminary results of the mobility analyses prepared for the crisis commission show that the emergency situation has resulted in decreased mobility of people. For the mobility analysis, Statistics Estonia uses aggregate tables on the movement of mobile phone numbers prepared by Elisa, Tele2 and Telia. Real-time data of the clients of mobile operators were not used. It is not possible to analyse the movement patterns of individuals on the basis of the anonymous data. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2018, the Dwelling Price Index changed by 0.2% compared to the 2nd quarter and by 4.2% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2017.

Evelin Puura, the foreign trade statistics team lead at Statistics Estonia, said that trade in August was affected by the continued decline in exports and imports in trade with European Union (EU) countries. “Compared with August 2023, exports to EU countries decreased by 3% and imports from EU countries by 8%. Jane Leppmets, analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that exports of goods increased in September and in the third quarter overall. “Although re-exports fell by 1% in September, the rise in total exports was driven by the 4% increase in exports of goods of Estonian origin.
