According to Statistics Estonia, in connection with a fault that occurred in the electricity supply system of the State Infocommunication Foundation today, access to Statistics Estonia’s web services was suspended.

Buses transported 41.6 million passengers and travelled 39 million kilometres in the first quarter. According to Statistics Estonia, in 2023, the average expenditure of Estonian residents on overnight outbound trips was greater than in the period before the COVID-19 pandemic. The average spending on outbound trips has increased by 43% in the years 2018–2023. The number of tourists accommodated in Estonia has not yet reached the pre-pandemic level, but the share of domestic tourists has increased significantly compared with 2018.

Lauri Veski, team lead of consumer price statistics at Statistics Estonia, said that the consumer price index in May was almost unchanged compared with April but rose by 4.5% year on year. “Compared with May 2024, the index was affected the most by the 7.1% higher prices of food products.
