According to Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia grew 4.2% in the 3rd quarter of 2019 compared to the same period of the previous year. The Estonian GDP was 7 billion euros at current prices.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2019, there were 82,500 amateurs of folk culture in Estonia. 59,000 of them sang in choirs or danced in folk dance groups. The most folk culture amateurs per thousand inhabitants were in Võru county and the least in Ida-Viru county.

Jane Leppmets, analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that exports of goods increased in September and in the third quarter overall. “Although re-exports fell by 1% in September, the rise in total exports was driven by the 4% increase in exports of goods of Estonian origin. According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2019, the average monthly gross wages and salaries increased by 7.9% compared to the 1st quarter of 2018. In the 1st quarter of 2019, the average hourly gross wages and salaries were 7.90 euros, which is 7% more than in the 1st quarter of 2018.

According to the revised data of Statistics Estonia, 1,328,976 persons lived in Estonia on 1 January 2020, which is 4,156 persons more than at the same time a year earlier. In 2019, the population figure decreased by 1,302 persons due to negative natural change, but increased by 5,458 persons as a result of positive net migration.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2020, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and abroad increased by 7% year on year. The construction volume increased in Estonia, but decreased in foreign countries.
