In June 2021, the producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, increased by 2.6% compared to May 2021 and by 9.4% compared to June 2020.

The first survey for older population is under way in Estonia

According to Statistics Estonia, today, on 18 November the SHARE (Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe) survey starts in Estonia, which provides for the first time a thorough overview about state of health and coping of persons aged 50 and older. It is an international survey conducted simultaneously in 19 European countries.

Considering the turnover, internal trade is the largest economic activity in Estonia. It covers wholesale and retail trade as well as repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles. Internal trade is closely connected with other activities – goods that people buy in shops or on the internet come from factories, craftsmen and farmers. More than 1,600 people participated in the census rehearsal

At the end of last year and beginning of this year, Statistics Estonia carried out the main rehearsal of the Population and Housing Census. 843 persons living at 422 addresses responded to the test survey online. Interviewers collected responses from 785 persons living at 410 addresses. The test survey response rate was 87.5% and the received feedback was generally positive.
