According to Statistics Estonia, in the 4th quarter of 2010, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 814 euros (12,735 kroons) and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 4.83 euros (75.63 kroons). Compared to the 4th quarter of 2009, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 3.9% higher and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 1.9% higher.

According to Statistics Estonia, 440,000 tourists stayed in accommodation establishments in July, which is 4% more than in the same month of the previous year. The number of both domestic and foreign tourists increased.

Terje Trasberg, team lead of population and education statistics at Statistics Estonia, said that 18,634 persons immigrated to Estonia and 17,260 persons emigrated in 2024. “Last year, natural increase was negative (–6,066 people), while net migration was positive (+1,374 people). Jane Leppmets, foreign trade analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that there was a marked decline in trade in goods in the first quarter of 2024, as exports were down by 16% and imports by 11%. “In the third quarter, imports were unchanged and there was a slight uptrend in exports. According to Statistics Estonia, in 2011 compared to the previous year, the electricity production from renewable sources has increased by 13%. During the last five years the share of electricity generated from oil shale has decreased by nearly a tenth. At the same time the electricity production from renewable sources has increased eight times.

According to Statistics Estonia, on the basis of the first estimates of 2010 Agricultural Census the number of agricultural holdings has decreased almost three times as compared to the last, 2001 Agricultural Census. At the same time the agricultural area has increased 8%. It shows that agricultural activity is concentrating more and more into larger holdings.
