According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, cereal production was 1,535,300 tonnes in 2015, which is 26% more than the year before and the largest volume ever recorded in Estonia.
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2011, the number of passengers carried by Estonian transport enterprises continued to decrease for the fifth year in succession. The decline in the number of passengers carried was influenced the most by reduction of passengers in urban transport. Transport enterprises carried more goods compared to the previous year.
According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2011 the total profit of the business sector was 2.8 billion euros, which is 40% more than the year before. The enterprises last earned a similar total profit in 2006 and 2008.
Statistics Estonia lengthens the opportunity to participate in the e-census by 24 hours due to a big interest of the population in the e-census. People can participate online in the Population Census until 23:59 on 1 February.
83% of Estonia’s inhabitants are aware of the upcoming Population and Housing Census, revealed a survey conducted by the research agency Faktum & Ariko. The majority of the respondents believed that the Census was necessary.
According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2014, the production of industrial enterprises fell 3% compared to March of the previous year. The production in energy and mining decreased, while the production in manufacturing increased.
According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2014 compared to August of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 7% at constant prices. In July, the retail sales increased 9% compared to the same month of the previous year, whereas in August the retail sales growth decelerated a little.
According to Statistics Estonia, in the 4th quarter of 2009 the construction price index fell 10.0% compared to the 4th quarter of 2008. In 2009, the index fell 8.5% compared to the average of 2008.
According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2014, the producer price index of industrial output changed by 0.6% compared to June 2014 and by –0.4% compared to July 2013.
