According to Statistics Estonia, in May, the producer price index of industrial output increased by 0.1% compared to April 2020 and decreased by 3.9% compared to May 2019.

Helga Laurmaa, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that 110,000 foreign and 120,000 domestic tourists were accommodated in Estonia in February 2025. “The number of foreign tourists increased by 3% year on year and reached the level of February 2019. However, in February 2020, just before the crisis, 10,000 more foreign tourists (8%) stayed in accommodation establishments than in February this year,” Laurmaa added. Riin Kadarik, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that manufacturing output continued to decline in April, similarly to March and February. “The main reason for this was the 8% decrease in the manufacture of food products. In this activity, there has been a year-on-year decline in output for fourth months in a row. According to the revised data of Statistics Estonia, on 1 January 2021, the population of Estonia was 1,330,068, which is 1,179 persons more than the year before*. Last year, the population figure decreased by 2,602 persons due to negative natural increase but increased by 3,782 persons as a result of positive net migration.

Piret Pukk, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that about half of the tourists accommodated in Estonia in November 2025 were foreign tourists and the other half were domestic tourists – their numbers were 127,273 and 127,716, respectively. “The number of foreign tourists was still 13% lower than in November 2019 before the pandemic.
