According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2016, the exports of goods increased by 2% and imports by 3% compared to October of the previous year. Compared to October 2015, the exports of goods of Estonian origin increased by 3% and re-exports, i.e. the exportation of goods imported from a foreign country, stayed at the same level.

According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2012, exports of goods grew by 16% and imports by 25% at current prices compared to February of the previous year. The growth in imports was mostly influenced by the increase in the arrivals of mineral fuels and transport equipment.

Jelena Jurkova, analyst in the producer price statistics team at Statistics Estonia, said that, year on year, the producer price index of industrial output fell for the third consecutive month. “Compared with August 2024, the index was most affected by price decreases in electricity production and in the manufacture of fuel oils. Higher prices in the manufacture of wood and wood products and in the manufacture of food products had the opposite effect on the index,” Jurkova noted.
