Exports of goods amounted to over €1.4 billion and imports to nearly €1.7 billion at current prices. The trade deficit was €264 million, which is €63 million higher than in August last year. According to Statistics Estonia, by preliminary data, the estimated population number in Estonia was 1,286,540 on 1 January 2013. The decline in the population in 2012 was mainly influenced by the increase of emigration and the growth in the number of deaths.

According to Statistics Estonia, the Dwelling Price Index increased by 13.7% in 2014 compared to the average of 2013. In the annual comparison, the prices of apartments increased by 15.5% and the prices of houses by 9.1%.
