This year, for the first time, Statistics Estonia distributed the deadlines of the EKOMAR questionnaire over a longer period and, depending on the economic activity of the enterprise, the deadline fell in the period of 1–8 July. Out of the 8,000 enterprises that were to submit the questionnaire, 44% submitted EKOMAR in time.

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2023, the total production of industrial enterprises decreased by 12.7% at constant prices compared with the corresponding month of 2022. Output declined in two of the three main sectors: by 31.5% in electricity production and by 13.1% in manufacturing. In mining, output increased by 36.3%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2012, the production of industrial enterprises decreased by 6% compared to the same month of the previous year. The decline in the production was most of all influenced by the manufacturing of electronic and metal products and electricity.
