According to Statistics Estonia, in 2019, a household member spent an average of 489 euros per month, which is 81 euros more than in 2016. The share of compulsory expenditure, i.e. unavoidable food and dwelling expenses in the household budget has decreased by 3% in three years.
Retail trade turnover fell in September

According to Statistics Estonia, in September, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 886 million euros. Compared with September 2021, turnover decreased by 6% at constant prices.

In the second quarter of 2022, the gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.6% year on year. The GDP at current prices was 9 billion euros.
Household Budget Survey starts in December

On Sunday, 9 December, Statistics Estonia launches the Household Budget Survey, to collect data from households on their daily expenditure and consumption. The survey runs until the end of 2019.
In June more tourists stayed in accommodation establishments than a year ago

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2013, 4% more tourists stayed in accommodation establishments than in the same month of the previous year. The number of domestic tourists as well as foreign tourists increased.
