According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2009 compared to May of the previous year, the production of industrial enterprises decreased 30%. The steep decline in industrial production that had started at the end of the previous year continued in May.
According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2012 compared to May of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 8% at constant prices.
According to Statistics Estonia, in May exports of goods from Estonia amounted to 11.3 billion kroons (721 million euros) and imports to Estonia to 12.5 billion kroons (800 million euros) at current prices. Compared to May 2009, exports increased in the dispatches of all commodity sections, especially in the dispatches of metals and products thereof.

According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2014, the production of industrial enterprises rose 2% compared to May of the previous year. The production increased in manufacturing, mining and energy.
According to Statistics Estonia, 268,000 tourists used the services of accommodation establishments in May 2015, which is 2% fewer than in May 2014. The number of foreign tourists decreased and the number of domestic tourists increased.
Today, Statistics Estonia presented at a press conference a comparative survey of household and place of residence data. The survey, taking place from May until October, is conducted to test the quality of the methodology of the register-based population and housing census. 30,000 persons will be surveyed.

While in April retail sales increased 6% compared to the same month of the previous year, then in May the growth in retail sales accelerated slightly.
