According to Statistics Estonia and Eesti Pank, in the second quarter of 2022, Estonia’s exports of services grew by 32% while imports of services fell by 5% year on year. In the second quarter of this year, Estonia’s exports of services totalled 2.5 billion euros and imports of services 1.8 billion euros.

Data-based reporting for reducing administrative burden The project Data-based reporting developed from the Zero Bureaucracy initiative. Jane Leppmets, foreign trade analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that compared with October 2023, the growth in foreign trade in October 2024 was the highest this year. “Re-exports of goods increased by 5% in October, while exports of goods of Estonian origin grew by as much as 17%. According to Statistics Estonia, in September, Estonia’s exports of goods amounted to almost 1.5 billion and imports to nearly 1.7 billion euros. Compared with the same month in 2022, exports of goods decreased by 24% and imports by 22% at current prices. The trade deficit in September was 207 million euros, which is 13 million euros more than in September last year.
