According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2022, Estonia’s exports of goods increased by 13% and imports by 22% compared with July 2021. Re-exports from Estonia grew by 43%; exports of domestic goods remained at the same level year on year.

Latvia conducted a census based entirely on register data on the first day of this year, and it can be considered as a complete success. In addition to various databases, a large amount of information from private companies was used to specify and compare information, for example, on housing. The first most important result of the census: last year, Latvia had the lowest population growth in a hundred years.

According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2024, the total production of industrial enterprises fell by 5.7% compared with March last year. Among the three main sectors, output increased slightly in mining (by 0.4%), but decreased by 6.5% in manufacturing and by 4.4% in electricity production.

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2023, Estonia’s exports of goods decreased by 4% and imports by 18% at current prices compared with April 2022. Foreign trade was most affected by the reduced trade in mineral fuels and wood and articles of wood.

Producer price index down by 1.3% in September

The producer price index of industrial output, which expresses changes in the producer prices of industrial goods manufactured in Estonia for the domestic market and for export, fell by 1.3% in September compared with August 2022 and rose by 23.2% compared with September 2021.
