According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2009 63% of Estonian households had access to the Internet at home, compared to the same period of the previous year this indicator has increased five percentage points. Almost all enterprises with 10 and more persons employed had access to the Internet as in the previous three years.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2010, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 11,874 kroons (759 euros) and the hourly gross wages and salaries were 72.00 kroons (4.60 euros). Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2009, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were by 0.9% higher and the average hourly gross wages and salaries were by 0.3% higher.

According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2011, the production of industrial enterprises grew 23% compared to the same month of the previous year. The growth in production was most of all influenced by the manufacturing of electronic products.

In the energy sector, the volume of electricity production (in megawatt-hours) decreased by 19.9% and the production of heat by 7.2% in July. According to Statistics Estonia, in February 2012, exports of goods grew by 16% and imports by 25% at current prices compared to February of the previous year. The growth in imports was mostly influenced by the increase in the arrivals of mineral fuels and transport equipment.
