This week, a high-level delegation from the Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) in the United Arab Emirates is visiting Estonia and Statistics Estonia. The purpose of the visit is to further strengthen the collaboration in the field of statistics to develop and improve activities related to data-based policy making intended to fulfill the national strategic goals.

According to Statistics Estonia, in February, the consumer price index rose by 0.9% compared to January and by 0.6% compared to February 2020. Goods were 0.6% cheaper and services 2.7% more expensive than in February last year.

Thursday, 3 November is the last day one can apply for the enumerator’s post at the Population and Housing Census starting at the end of the year. For conducting the Population Census, Statistics Estonia recruits 2,000 enumerators as total.

The popularity of e-commerce also grew, with 62% of the population aged 16–74 having made online purchases. Among enterprises, the use of enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management software continues to increase. Enterprises are also trying out AI technologies.

Statistics Estonia highly values the contribution Estonian people and enterprises make to the production of official statistics. This will enable the creation of essential knowledge about indicators that are important for the country, ranging from GDP to the at-risk-of-poverty rate. We therefore hope that the new self-service environment will make data submission faster and more convenient. The self-service environment offers users of Statistics Estonia's e-services a number of new options that were not available in eSTAT. More user-friendly features will be added over time. What changes for
