According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2020, the turnover of retail trade enterprises was 680 million euros. Compared to July 2019, turnover increased by 4% at constant prices.
The large-scale relationship survey* conducted by Statistics Estonia reveals that 33% of men, that is, one in three men in Estonia, have experienced intimate partner violence during their lifetime.
The government approved the development plan of Statistics Estonia for 2018–2022 at its cabinet meeting today. According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2020, the production of industrial enterprises decreased by 2% compared to November 2019. In the three main industrial sectors, production fell by 1% in manufacturing and by 12% in energy production, but grew by 2% in mining.
This year’s recipient of the Albert Pullerits young statistician’s prize awarded by Statistics Estonia is Tuuli Jürgenson for her Master’s thesis “Combining Retrospective and Prospective Data for Genome-wide Association Studies”.

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, in 2008 the usage of services of passenger transport enterprises decreased by about a tenth compared to 2007. The volume of carriage of goods decreased by a fourth compared to the previous year.
