Today, Statistics Estonia presented at a press conference a comparative survey of household and place of residence data. The survey, taking place from May until October, is conducted to test the quality of the methodology of the register-based population and housing census. 30,000 persons will be surveyed.

According to Statistics Estonia, in April, the consumer price index increased by 2.0% compared with March and by 13.5% compared with April 2022. Goods were 13.6% and services 13.1% more expensive than in April last year.

“In the third quarter, the total number of vacant and occupied posts was a little under 604,000. Helle Bunder, leading analyst at Statistics Estonia, noted that, in October, the volume of production in manufacturing increased slightly after a long period of decline. “Manufacturing output had fallen for nearly 2.5 years but now grew by 0.8% compared with October 2023,” explained Bunder.
