According to Statistics Estonia, in the first quarter of 2021, there were 9,443 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. This means a 10% increase year on year. More than 7,000 persons left their jobs on the employer’s initiative.

Statistical thresholds In 2023, the statistical threshold for the dispatches of goods is 270,000 euros (last year, it was 200,000 euros). It means that, in 2023, Intrastat data have to be submitted by those enterprises whose turnover of goods dispatched to European Union countries exceeded 270,000 euros in 2022. According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2020, there were 8,088 vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia. Compared to the second quarter of 2019, the number decreased by 28%. In the second quarter, 39,540 persons were hired and 50,184 persons left work. Every fourth person left on the employer’s initiative.

This is 27% less than in the third quarter of 2019. The biggest labour turnover was recorded in wholesale and retail trade, manufacturing, and education.
