What kind of survey is it? The Farm Structure Survey gives an overview of the state of agriculture in Estonia. This information is required for developing agricultural policies. The survey provides statistics on agricultural holdings that are comparable across the European Union (EU). Trade in goods decreased in June as well as in the first six months overall

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2024, Estonia’s exports of goods decreased by 14% and imports by 11% compared with June 2023. Exports of goods amounted to nearly 1.4 billion and imports to more than 1.6 billion euros at current prices. The trade deficit was 268 million euros, which is 20 million more than in June last year.

In April, the volume of industrial production was greater than a year ago

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2017, the production of industrial enterprises increased 10% compared to April of the previous year. Production increased in the energy sector, mining and quarrying as well as manufacturing.

In the 2nd quarter, year-over-year growth in average wages and salaries accelerated

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2017, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,242 euros, and increased 6.8% compared to the 2nd quarter of 2016. The year-over-year growth in wages and salaries, which had decelerated for four successive quarters, accelerated again and was 1.1 percentage points faster than in the previous quarter.
