According to the second estimates of Statistics Estonia, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Estonia increased by 8.5% in the 1st quarter of 2011 compared to the same quarter in the previous year. The GDP growth has gradually accelerated since the 2nd quarter of the previous year.

Since the beginning of year the decrease in retail sales has been relatively stable compared to the same month of the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, in January 2015, the production of industrial enterprises increased by 2% compared to January of the previous year. Production increased in manufacturing and mining, but decreased in energy production.
