According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2015, 88% of households in Estonia had access to the Internet at home. The share of people using e-commerce has increased.

According to the data of the 2011 Population and Housing Census (PHC 2011), 320,872 persons or 29% of Estonian population aged 15 and older are affiliated with a particular religion. This percentage has not changed compared to the previous, 2000 Census.

The number of vacant posts was the highest in education (1,782) and in wholesale and retail trade (incl. repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles)

According to Statistics Estonia, in the second quarter of 2020, the labour force participation rate was 70.4%, the employment rate was 65.4%, and the unemployment rate was 7.1%. There were 49,400 unemployed persons, which is 14,400 more than in the first quarter.

According to the 2021 census, an estimated one third of the population have a long-term illness or health problem. This is 2 percentage points more than in the previous census in 2011. 28% of the population are limited in their daily activities because of a health problem.
