According to Statistics Estonia, 250,000 tourists stayed in accommodation establishments in April 2023, which is 6% more than in April last year. The number of foreign tourists increased, but there were fewer domestic tourists.

According to Statistics Estonia, 1,365,884 people live in Estonia as of 01.01.2023, which is 34,088 persons (2.6%) more than at the same time a year ago. Johanna Linda Pihlak, analyst at Statistics Estonia, said that while turnover volume fell by 4% in September year on year, the decline was slightly slower in October. “The fall in the volume of retail trade turnover in October was mainly due to grocery stores, as their turnover volume decreased by 4% year on year.
