According to Statistics Estonia, in May 2013, the producer price index of industrial output changed by -1.2% compared to April and by 3.4% compared to May 2012.
In the first week of December, Statistics Estonia launched the Time Use Survey. The survey takes place every ten years and will end in 2021. Information is collected about how and where people over the age of 10 spend their time and what modes of transport they use.
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2021, Estonian accommodation establishments served over two million tourists, which is 8% more than in 2020, but 44% less than in 2019. The number of domestic tourists increased, while the number of foreign tourists decreased.

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2022, Estonian accommodation establishments served over 479,000 tourists, which is 26% more than in July last year. The number of domestic tourists fell, while the number of foreign tourists* increased.
According to Statistics Estonia, the total production of industrial enterprises in 2021 was 6.4% bigger than the year before. Of the three main industrial sectors, production increased by 19.2% in energy production and by 6.4% in manufacturing but decreased by 15.7% in mining.

Industry is the largest sector of the economy and an important driver of economic growth. The index of industrial production covers the economic indicators of three industrial activities: mining, energy production and manufacturing. Helle Bunder, analyst at Statistics Estonia, noted that May was the month last year when manufacturing volumes decreased the most due to the coronavirus pandemic. “In connection with the low reference base, manufacturing production has increased by 18.5% year on year,” said Bunder. According to Statistics Estonia, in September, the total production of industrial enterprises decreased by 7.5% at constant prices compared with September 2021. Output increased in just one of the three sectors – by 3.5% in electricity production. Production fell by 7.6% in manufacturing and by 27.1% in mining.
According to Statistics Estonia, in 2021, the average monthly parental benefit was 1,205 euros for women and 1,463 euros for men. Last year, a total of 38,882 persons received parental benefit and a third of them were men.
