According to Statistics Estonia, in the 2nd quarter of 2013 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries grew 0.4%. In Estonia the construction activities increased 4%, but in foreign countries the construction volumes decreased nearly by a third.

What kind of survey is it?

There are four separate Business Surveys to collect information from enterprises in four sectors: construction, industry, trade, and services. The surveys are used to monitor developments in the business activities of the relevant enterprises, and the underlying factors. The collected data help to assess economic trends at the country, European Union (EU) and euro-area level.

A confidence indicator is produced for each surveyed sector, and the overall Economic Sentiment Indicator is calculated based on these. The survey also provides early and relevant information
