The number of tourists in accommodation establishments continues to grow

According to Statistics Estonia, 262,000 tourists stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments in November 2019. The total number of nights spent was 479,000. 56% of the tourists were foreign tourists and 44% were domestic tourists.

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter of 2017, the average monthly gross wages and salaries were 1,201 euros, having increased 7.4% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2016. The year-over-year growth in wages and salaries accelerated for the second consecutive quarter.

According to Statistics Estonia, there were about 11,000 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 3rd quarter of 2016. The number of job vacancies reached a 7-year high, having increased by 16% compared to the previous quarter and by 25% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2015.
