HICP flash estimate: prices up by 0.1% in May
According to the preliminary estimate of Statistics Estonia, in May 2025, the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), which includes the expenditures of tourists in Estonia, increased by 0.1% compared with April. Compared with May last year, the index rose by 4.6%.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2011 compared to the previous year, the electricity production from renewable sources has increased by 13%. During the last five years the share of electricity generated from oil shale has decreased by nearly a tenth. According to Statistics Estonia, there were more than 7,000 job vacancies in the enterprises, institutions and organisations of Estonia in the 1st quarter of 2012. The number of job vacancies increased nearly one fifth compared to the same period last year. The rate of job vacancies was 1.3%.
