According to Statistics Estonia, in the 4th quarter of 2010, the number of unemployed persons decreased to 93,000 and the unemployment rate to 13.6%. The annual average number of unemployed persons was the largest during the period after the restoration of independence in Estonia.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2008 compared to the average of the previous year, the percentage change of the construction price index was 3.4%. The index was mainly influenced by the decrease in the labour costs.

Financial statistics of enterprises improved in 2016

After a few years of stagnation, 2016 can be considered rather successful for enterprises – the turnover, investments as well as the number of active enterprises increased by 4%. The improved results were reflected also in profits – the profit for the reporting year increased by 11%. Productivity indicators improved also.
PHC 2011: the majority of Estonian population are engaged in manufacturing, trade and education

According to the data of the 2011 Population and Housing Census (PHC 2011) of Statistics Estonia, 67% of persons employed in Estonia worked in service sector, 29% in industrial sector and only 4% in primary sector.

According to Statistics Estonia, in June 2017, the exports of goods increased by 11% and imports by 6% compared to June 2016. In the second quarter, compared to the 2nd quarter of the previous year, exports grew 8% and imports 7%.

According to Statistics Estonia, 323,500 tourists used the services of accommodation establishments in June 2015, which is 4% fewer than in June 2014. The number of foreign tourists decreased and the number of domestic tourists increased.

According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2018, the exports of goods decreased by 3% and imports increased by 4% compared to March 2017. In the first quarter of the current year, exports increased by 6% and imports by 2%, compared to the same period of 2017.
