According to Statistics Estonia, in October 2022, Estonian accommodation establishments served nearly 270,000 tourists, which is 19% more than in October last year. The number of foreign tourists* rose, while the number of domestic tourists fell.

According to Statistics Estonia, 337,000 tourists stayed in accommodation establishments in June 2023, the same as in June last year. The number of foreign tourists increased, while the number of domestic tourists decreased.

In order to provide the crisis commission with a quick overview about whether people are complying with movement restrictions, Elisa, Tele2 and Telia decided to take it upon themselves to analyse the mobility of their clients. The reason for the new decision is the obligation of the operators to protect personal data and ensure anonymity.
