According to Statistics Estonia, in November 2008 92,000 foreign tourists and 62,000 Estonian residents stayed in accommodation establishments of Estonia. The total number of tourists did not change significantly compared to the November of the previous year.

According to Statistics Estonia, during the nine months of 2012, a total of 2.2 million domestic and foreign tourists stayed in accommodation establishments, which was 4% more than at the same time of the previous year and more than during the nine months in any previous years.
Unemployment decreased in the 2nd quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, unemployed persons numbered 47,000 and the unemployment rate was 6.9% in the 2nd quarter of 2014. Employment increased compared to the 1st quarter, but decreased compared to the same quarter of the previous year. This shows that Estonia is gradually facing the consequences of declining labour force.

According to Statistics Estonia, during the three summer months 911,000 foreign and domestic tourists stayed in accommodation establishments of Estonia, which was 10% more than at the same time of 2009. 59,000 foreign tourists and 27,000 domestic tourists more stayed in accommodation establishments than last summer.

According to Statistics Estonia, in March 2020, compared to March 2019, the exports of goods decreased by 1% and imports by 2%. Compared to the first quarter of 2019, exports declined by 3% and imports by 4%. In the first quarter, trade decreased mostly due to declined exports and imports of electrical equipment and mineral products.
