Estonia produces 71% of the meat consumed here

According to Statistics Estonia, 76,500 tonnes of meat were produced in Estonia in 2024, which is 1% more than the year before. The average annual meat production was 56 kg per person. Including imported meat, a total of 78 kg of meat per person were consumed during the year. 71% of the meat consumed in Estonia in 2024 was locally produced.

Stable growth in retail sales continued in September

According to Statistics Estonia, in September 2015 compared to September of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 9% at constant prices. In the last four months, retail sales have been increasing steadily by 8–9% compared to the same month of the previous year.

In August foreign trade decreased

According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2015, exports of goods decreased by 6% and imports by 3% compared to August of the previous year. The decrease in exports was mostly influenced by a fall in the trade of electrical equipment, metals and products thereof, and mineral products.

In August, the growth in retail sales decelerated slightly

According to Statistics Estonia, in August 2015 compared to August of the previous year, the retail sales of goods of retail trade enterprises increased 8% at constant prices. In July, the retail sales increased 9% compared to the same month of the previous year, whereas in August the retail sales growth decelerated slightly.
