Lowest unemployment rate of the century in the 3rd quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 3rd quarter, the unemployment rate was 3.9%, the labour force participation rate was 71.9% and the employment rate was 69%. The estimated number of employed persons was 677,300, which is 10,700 more than in the same quarter of the previous year. The number of long-term unemployed also declined.
In November, the change in the consumer price index was influenced the most by housing expenditures

According to Statistics Estonia, the change of the consumer price index in November 2013 was –0.4% compared to October 2013 and 1.5% compared to November of the previous year. Both the monthly and annual change were influenced the most by housing expenditures.

According to Statistics Estonia, there were 3.4 million museum visits in 2018. Compared to the record year 2017, the number of visits has decreased by 100 thousand.

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2019, the labour force participation rate was 71.6%, the employment rate was 68.4% and the unemployment rate was 4.4%. The annual average number of persons active in the labour market was 702,600 and persons employed numbered 671,300.
Milk production increased year-on-year

According to the preliminary data of Statistics Estonia, the production of milk amounted to 807,500 tonnes in 2018, which is 2% more than the year before. The number of dairy cows decreased by the end of the year, but the average milk yield per cow increased.

Statistics Estonia’s mobility analysis revealed that since the emergency situation and movement restrictions were implemented, people living in Estonia stay in their main location 20 hours per day on average. The distance covered in one day as well as the number of trips has decreased. The revised analysis shows that the share of people staying in their main location has increased by 16 percentage points, which means that an estimated 200,000 more people have stayed local.
Construction grew more than a fourth in the 1st quarter

According to Statistics Estonia, in the 1st quarter of 2012 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the total production of Estonian construction enterprises in Estonia and foreign countries grew 28%, of which 29% on domestic market.
